Biological Activity
Tyrosine kinase receptor B (TrkB) agonist that binds to the extracellular domain of the receptor (Kd = 320 nM). Inhibits glutamate-triggered apoptosis in hippocampal neurons in vitro and in vivo. Exhibits neuroprotective effects in an HD mouse model.
