Biological Activity
Mammalian bombesin-like peptide and endogenous ligand for the neuromedin B receptor (IC50 = 2 nM); first isolated from pig spinal cord. Regulates endocrine and exocrine secretion, smooth muscle contraction, blood pressure, feeding and cell growth.
