Biological Activity
Potent angiotensin II type I (AT1) receptor antagonist (IC50 = 6.7 nM at hAT1 receptors). Improves cognitive function in a mouse model of hypertension- and hyperlipidemia-associated cognitive decline; ameliorates arterial stiffness in a rat model of chronic renal failure. Metabolite of Olmesartan medoxomil (Cat. No. 4620).
Compound Libraries
Olmesartan is also offered as part of the Tocriscreen Plus and Tocriscreen Library of FDA-Approved Compounds. Find out more about compound libraries available from Tocris.
